More Great Kickstarters!

Slice of Life #1-2 - Queer WEBTOON with an Anime Twist

Gritty anime protagonist, Lady Vengeance, comes to life and falls in love with a high school cheerleader.

Slice of Life is a queer romance that deconstructs the "slice of life" genre, unpacking the importance of everyday narratives to tell a larger story about the meaning of life from the point of view of a fictional character.

Co-created by Spider-Squirrel 80-Page Titan Annual #1 collaborator Kat Calamia!

Boston Metaphysical Society - Vol. 2

NEW TO BOSTON METAPHYSICAL SOCIETY?

If you are new to the series, the original six issue mini-series (Volume 1) is about an ex-Pinkerton detective, a spirit photographer, and a genius scientist who battle supernatural forces in late 1800’s Boston. They live in an alternate steampunk history where ghosts and demons are a  normal part of life. Families known as the Great Houses control the  economy of the Great States of America while the middle class and lower classes sole purpose are to serve the Great Houses.

Kickstarter is Still Reviewing the SS3 Campaign...

...which is fine. I'm sure the staffing woes around the globe have hit them, too, so I'm patient. Well, not really, but I can't control what they do, so I'll just control my responses. 😆

Kickstarters I've Backed & Recommend to You!

Enjoy this roster of campaigns that I've recently backed! I've organized them ascending from soonest-to-end, so you can jump on some of these before they're gone!

Mythspace: Ignition

Mythspace: Ignition is a graphic novel collection of six stories exploring a universe where the old tales of monsters and folklore creatures from the Philippines – Tikbalangs, Kapres, Manananggals – were inspired by actual alien civilizations. From a young man’s journey into myth, to a Kapre war, to a Manananggal coming of age, these stories (now depicted in full-color) will take readers on an unforgettable journey both strange and familiar.

GreenZone: Life In The Blocks

In a world where anyone could be born with superpowers, genomes are viewed as walking weapons… supervillains waiting to happen. Cast out of society and forgotten, they are forced into Greenzones, and packed into super powered ghettos called “the Blocks”. The only hope for a better life is the Genome Citizenship Accords of 1968 which state “any genome that proves their worth by serving the greater good for a period of no less than five consecutive years, may earn their citizenship, right to vote, and right to own property…”   So, if you want to claw your way out of the blocks, and get a chance for a better life, you have to risk it all in either the military, fire department, or the police force. This is the story of three new recruits to the police force on their first shift in the G-unit.

Starcore Issue #1

Starcore is the 4th series from Taurus Comics. The first issue of an ongoing series. Following the success of books Shaman's Destiny, Xob the Lightning Wielder, and Ruby from Planet Oz, Starcore takes the universe to the stars and back.

Corey is your average high school student. Raised by his single mom, he does what he can to help out around the house. But things have been tough since his dad passed away.

School isn't much better where he struggles to keep his grades up and stand out. His best friend Nolan? The school's baseball star. Kim, the girl he's been friends with for years? A budding streaming sensation. There's also the son of the richest family in town, Greg and Diego, the walking google search engine. Corey does everything he can to try and be distinct.

Things become complicated when he finds an alien power suit. The suit bonds with his body and allows him access to a vast array of powerful weapons and alien technology. Now he finds himself in the crosshairs of the government's clandestine anti-alien task force. Their job? To neutralize what they think is a threat to our world.

Rise of the G-Men!

The Agent is the story of FBI Agent Simon N. Kirby and the world of G-Man Comics. In his world, all superheroes are registered with the government. Under the Super Hero Registration Act, the FBI presses superheroes into service as needed to protect their country. Simon N. Kirby is the man in charge of the FBI's superhero team, the G-Men. It operates in a "Mission Impossible" style, where he selects the right agents for each mission.

When you support G-Man Comics, you get not one, but five great comic books.

SPECIAL NOTICE: Xion Studios' character Rook will make his debut cameo appearance within Simon N. Kirby: The Agent #5!

Power Broker #2

Thirty years ago, the secret to super powered abilities was unlocked. Geneticists were hailed as heroes, as the promise of a new age of human achievement shined bright. Instead, their work was quickly commercialized, and the foundation of society buckled beneath the deluge of black market super-powered beings. In response, a task force of professional supermen was commissioned to police the city of Potentia and neutralize this growing threat--they call themselves POWER BROKERS.

The Bar Issues 1-2

Every issue a new person walks in with a new story.  All are judged.  Intimate portraits of life, death, pain, loss, and horror await...

MATURE. 18+   SEXUALLY EXPLICT CONTENT.

The Bar is a cinematic drama/horror series with elements of supernatural best described as Law and Order meets Tales from the Crypt or Black Mirror.  If you horror, Sandman, Brubaker/Bendis crime, dark Image books like Ice Cream Man, or old school DC/Vertigo you'll love The Bar.  Each story is a 22 page self-contained comic, and each with a new guest.  All tell their story to The Bartender who may at times become a part of it--most end in a fitting poetic justice.  The series explores humanity's dark underbelly, highlights the nameless/faceless and reflects on the evils of our world.

That's it for now! Next update should be about the Spider-Squirrel #3 campaign approval & launch date!
