An Apology...

...I try to be the OVER-communicate guy, when possible, but I've failed you! The short version: I changed jobs, migrated to a new laptop, and let life slow me down. THAT'S MY BAD! No excuses, I should've at least communicated that to you all better. Regardless...

...Shipping Has Begun!

That's right! Even though I've been delayed, and I'm still getting used to Backerkit's fulfillment services, I did manage to get two batches of rewards shipped out last weekend and earlier this week. My plans this weekend are to pack and label and prepare for shipping all of the remaining rewards packages. Since it's Super Bowl weekend, and I want to watch the game, my personal goal is to finish that BEFORE the game, haha.

Some Shipping Logistics To Note

If you ordered a Trash Panda plushie or a piece or original art or figurine, those items will ship *separately*. I have tried using bulk packaging to ship everything at once, but none of the boxes really made me feel comfortable shipping such varied sizes and formats in one container (especially for International shipping). So, expect multiple packages if this is you. I will be absorbing the additional shipping fees to ensure stuff arrives to you intact.

OK, Cools. Now, Where's The SS3 Kickstarter??

I've added 6 additional pages to the book, which I've mentioned before, but those pages are still out with the colorist. I'm very disappointed with the time the work is taking, and I've had to pay for some color adjustments and changes to the entire book already. I'm not going to bash anyone, because that's not my nature, but the work is not to my personal standard, so I'm trying to elevate the book to that by doing the extra work here.

I apologize for the delay on SS3 (and my shipping delays on SS2), but I won't go to crowdfunding until after the entire book is completed and edited. But, that should be soon enough!

I'll send out another update before The Big Game this weekend, just to give you my progress!

Still awaiting our final rewards from Comic Impressions. The Trash Panda plushies arrived, as did, well, everything else… just awaiting prints & trading cards. Hoping to have an update before the weekend. 😖

After being diagnosed with a deadly form of kidney cancer, he underwent an enhanced treatment that enables one's white blood cells to absorb electromagnetic energy and store it as chemical energy the body could use to heal itself. During the treatment, something went wrong -- causing Kevin to absorb too much energy at once, and transforming him into the hero now known as FiveStar. Can he find his place in a world with great heroes like Hotshot and Vigilance? Can he help those in need while getting all this new attention and fame? The Librarian!

While I'm waiting for the last of the rewards for this campaign to show up, I'm already working on plotting and writing the next Spider-Squirrel mini-series! The campaign for SS#3 is expected in late-February/early-March as long as all of the extra pages I've added are complete (I prefer to launch with completed books).

So, what this about a librarian? No, I said, "THE Librarian"! She's a new character being introduced in the upcoming new Spider-Squirrel series, and she may have a bigger impact than you think! Don't miss her comic book debut!

Milestone

Right after SS#3, we'll follow this mini-series with a direct spin-off: MILESTONE! Written by Vito Delsante, with gorgeous art by Ariel Medel (Evil Ernie), Jagdish Kumar, and powerful colors by Omi Remalante, this book will expand the Xion Universe out into the furthest reaches of space, time, and dimensions. Buckle up for this one!
